1. International Day of Older Persons:

2. 3rd G20 Sherpa Meeting – Indonesia:
- Held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
- The current Chair of G20 is held by Indonesia.
- India is set to take over the G20 presidency in Dec 2022 and will host the next summit in New Delhi in 2023.
3. National Pension System Diwas:

- By Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA)
- To promote pension & retirement planning among the citizens.
- PFRDA is the regulatory body for the overall supervision and regulation of pensions in India.
- PFRDA was founded in 2003.
4. World’s first CNG terminal – Gujarat:
- PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the world’s 1st Compressed Natural Gas Terminal in Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
- In India, Gujarat was the 1st state to get a Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) terminal.
5. India and California – collaborate on Zero Emission Vehicles:
- California has the world’s most advanced ZEV policies, including an ambitious 100% ZEV mandate by 2035. This will aid the Indian EV industry.
6. World’s first Cloned Arctic Wolf – ‘Maya’:
- Born in Beijing, China.
- The first animal to be cloned was ‘Dolly’ the sheep in 1996.

8. A&N – 100% Coverage of precautionary dose:
- Andaman & Nicobar islands became India’s first state/Union territory to achieve 100% coverage of precautionary dose.
- Corbevax and Covishield vaccines were administered as a precautionary doses in the islands.
9. Operation Megh Chakra:
- It is being carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
- It is a Pan India drive against the circulation and sharing of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
10. National Nutrition Month:
- SEPTEMBER 1 TO SEPTEMBER 30
- The National Nutrition Week is aimed at creating awareness of the health of infants during the first 1,000 days from birth, anaemia, dysentery, handwashing methods and significance, balanced nutrition, and diet, and also to enable the creation of nutrition gardens with the help of Anganwadi workers among others.
