1. 3rd Anniversary of PM-KISAN:

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi
Launched on 24th February 2019 at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
100% funded by the central government
Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s welfare
Under the scheme, farmers will receive an amount of Rs. 6000 per year in 3 equal instalments of Rs. 2000 directly into their bank accounts.
This scheme covers all farmers irrespective of the size of their landholdings..
Recently, the government has allocated Rs.68,000 crore for the scheme in the union budget 2022-2023, which is 4.6% higher than the budget estimates of 2021-2022.

2. India’s First Railway Solar Power Plant:

Created jointly by Indian Railways and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).
Successfully commissioned 1.7 Megawatt at Bina, Madhya Pradesh.
The solar plant will be directly connected to the overhead traction system and it will produce approximately 25lakh units of energy annually.

3. EPR norms for Plastic Packaging waste:

EPR – Extended Producer Responsibility
Notified by the Ministry of Environment, forest and climate change.
Amended the plastic waste management rules, 2016 to accelerate the elimination of single-use plastic and promote alternatives.
The guidelines on EPR with effect from 1st July 2022 will play a major role in reducing pollution caused due to the littering of plastic waste in India.

4. India’s first-ever cable-stayed Rail Bridge:

Called ‘Anji Khad Bridge’.
Constructed in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir.
Situated over the Anji river.
Constructed by the Indian Railways.

5. Indian Railways to set up India’s Biggest world-class wrestling academy at Kishanganj, Delhi.

6. Quantum Key Distribution Test:

DRDO and IIT Delhi for the first time successfully demonstrated India’s indigenous technology, Quantum Key Distribution link between Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and Vindhyachal, Uttar Pradesh at a distance of more than 100 kilometres.
It is a secure communication method between defence and strategic agencies using cryptography that can be achieved over a commercial-grade optical fibre.
