1. First G20 International Financial Architecture Working Group Meeting:
- Held in Chandigarh
- India assumed the G20 Presidency for a year from December 1, 2022, to November 2023.
- This group is focused on addressing ways to strengthen the international financial architecture, improve finance for development and address vulnerabilities in the global financial system.
- G20 Members – Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and the European Union.
2. Exercise Poorvi Akash:
- Mega Air Drill by Indian Air Force in Northeastern Region.
- Similarly, Exercise Trishakthi Prahar – was held between all arms and services of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Central Armed Police Force in North Bengal.
3. India UK Achievers Honours 2023:
- Former PM Manmohan Singh was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Honour.
- The India UK Achievers Honours honoured 75 Indian UK Students and alumni who have made significant contributions to their field and society.
4. Former Union Law Minister Shanti Bhushan Passed away:
- He was one of the founding members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which were founded in 2012.
- He has authored a book titled “The Case that Shook India: The Verdict That Led to the Emergency”
5. New Capital of Andhra Pradesh – Visakhapatnam:
- Announced by the CM of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
- During the International Diplomatic Alliance Meet, a curtain raiser event for the Global Investors Summit was held in New Delhi.
6. Aarohini Initiative:
- Launched by Uttar Pradesh
- It is a training programme for the safety and security of girls in all 746 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBV) in UP.
7. Me-Dam-Me-Phi Festival 2023:
- Celebrated by Assam’s Tai Ahom Community to worship and pay respect to the ancestors.
