1. Virtual Smart Grid Knowledge Centre:

  • Launched at Manesar, Haryana.
  • Launched by the Ministry of new and renewable energy and the Ministry of power.
  • Developed by the POWERGRID with the support from the National Smart Grid Mission.
  • Smart Grid: It is an electrical grid with automation, communication and IT systems that can monitor power flows from points of generation to points of consumption.

2. BBIN Motor Vehicle Agreement:

  • Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal motor vehicle agreement.
  • It was signed during a transport ministers’ meeting in Thimpu on June 15, 2015.
  • Now the pending ratification of the motor vehicle agreement by Bhutan has been finalized.
  • The agreement aims to boost regional trade and people-to-people connectivity by fostering greater sub-regional cooperation.

3. New NFRA Chairperson:

  • National Financial Reporting Authority
  • Former Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan has been appointed.

4. ISSF World Cup:

  • International Shooting Sport Federation.
  • Took place in Cairo, Egypt.
  • Indian shooters have topped the medals tally with a total of 7 medals.

5. First Drone School:

  • The Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the first drone school in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
  • It will pave the way for the youth to move forward by connecting them with technology and will also increase employment opportunities.

6. Justice AK Sikri:

  • Named as Chairperson of Char Dham Project Committee.
  • The Char Dham project is a two-lane highway project currently under construction in the state of Uttarakhand by the Border Road Organisation.
  • Upon the completion of the project, it will connect the four important pilgrim towns of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
  • The project was laid on December 27, 2016.

7. IRDAI New Chairman:

  • Debasish Panda has been appointed.

  • Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.
  • To protect the interests of the policyholders, to regulate, promote and ensure orderly growth of the insurance industry and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

8. State Assembly Election Results:

  • Elections were held in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur.
  • Except in Punjab, the BJP has won the remaining four states.
  • In Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal led AAP to win the election.

9. 25 years of TRAI Act:

  • Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
  • The act was enacted in 1997 to enable the country to have a leading role in the emerging global information society.
  • It was amended in 2000, establishing a Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) to take over the adjudicatory and disputes functions from TRAI.

10. One-year Completion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav:

  • Launched on 12th March 2021 from Sabarmati Ashram.
  • It is an initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements
