1. Ayurveda Day:
- The 7th Ayurveda Day was celebrated on a magnificent scale in India and at the international level.
- The theme of this year’s Ayurveda Day is “Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda”, with the motive to propagate the benefits of Ayurveda to masses and grass-root communities.
2. Cyclone ‘Sitrang’:
- Cyclone Sitrang ploughed into heavily populated, low-lying parts of Bangladesh at night, killing at least nine people.
3. United Nations Day:
- Observed on 24th October.
- It marks the anniversary of the entry into force 1945 of the UN Charter.
- With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being.
4. World Polio Day:
- Observed on 24th October.
- Theme 2022 – “World Polio Day 2022 and Beyond: A healthier future for mothers and children”.

6. 5th Khelo India Youth Games 2022 – Madhya Pradesh:
- The Khelo India Youth Games 2022 will be conducted in 8 cities in Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, Maheshwar, Jabalpur, Mandla and Balaghat.
- The previous (4th) edition was held in Haryana.
- This edition will feature a mix of Olympic, Non-Olympic and traditional Indian Sports like Mallakhamb.
7. “Agni Prime (Agni-P)” – Successfully tested:
- India successfully test-fired Agni Prime (Agni-P), a new generation nuclear-capable ballistic missile from off the coast of Odisha.
- It is a two-stage missile with a maximum range of 2,000 km and a minimum range of 1000 km.
- Surface-to-Surface ballistic missile.
- Designed & Developed by DRDO
- It can be launched from rail or road and can be stored for a longer period of time.
8. Conference on B20 Indonesia Global Dialogue:
- Hosted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry in New Delhi.
- B 20 means Business 20 which was formed in 2010.
- It aims to align the perspectives of Indian Industry with the policy recommendations of B20 Indonesia.
- It is the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community.
9. Rozgar Mela:
- Rozgar Mela is a recruitment drive for 10 lakh central government jobs where appointment letters were handed over to 75,000 candidates who will join 38 Ministries and departments.
- The new recruits will join 38 Ministries and departments at Group A, B (both gazetted and non-gazetted) and C levels.
- The posts to which appointments are being made include central armed force personnel, sub-inspector, constable, lower division clerk, stenographer, personal assistant, income tax inspector and multitasking staff.
